It extends far enough back that it mostly protects your pack as well.
The Lightrek umbrella has a UV protection factor of 50+, which can help you to reduce the amount of sunscreen you need to apply during the day, so you could carry less sunscreen and lighten your pack.
The sun and rain protection is well worth the extra little weight. Combined with the hands free clamp and you’ll be a happy hiker.
TIP: We recommend to protect the special coating of the fabric on silver umbrellas and carrying them in sleeves or carry cases. Therefore we designed a lightweight, simple and functional sleeve to protect your umbrella.
