BROWN SOUND
The BSIAB2 circuit (Brown Sound in a Box 2) was my favourite distortion during school. The cool thing was; if you wanted one, you just had to build one. Or know somebody who would. The circuit was designed by Ed Guidry, similar to works by Jack Oran and Aron Nelson.
Back in the day, it was one of the highest-recommended builds on the forums. Forums were a thing. Many would suggest that this design was the original precursor to many of the "high gain amp" pedals that came out in the 2000s.
It has a tonne of gain, and can dial in a fat bottom end to fake a big amp sound. Some pedals claim to "stack well" together, but the Brown Sound can also be a "stack" all by itself. This circuit also responds excellently to rolling back the instrument volume knob. It stacks best with other drive pedals running into the input.
Distortion is achieved by overdriving NOS Fairchild 5457 field effect transistors (FETs), being the closest solid-state relative to vacuum tubes. There are three stacked gain stages. No diodes are involved for distortion
These new models use a hybrid mix of both surface mount capacitors and through-hole assembled components (SMD).

Can’t live without it!
I always keep one on hand in case it gets lost. Very durable and sustains a lot of chewing. It is a constant companion and play toy (thrown in my face at 1:30 a.m. as a hint it’s play time). He sleeps with it. Puts it by his bowls as he eats and drinks. Take outside for walks and play. Greets me when I come home with it. Greets guests with it. Has MANY other toys he will enjoy but nothing like a pacifier! He’s had one for years (he’s 9). One baby I’ll never take it away from. And since he’s a Shih Tzu- don’t think I have to worry about orthodontia. Highly recommend give it a try - despite mixed reviews - all dogs are not alike.

Last thru our entire teething stage
I absolutely love this. I got this when I first got my puppy (miniature dachshund) for when she started teething. It lasted her entire teething stage and she chewed on it everyday. If her teeth were really bothering her I shoved it in the freezer like the baby teething rings for about an hour and then gave it to her. There's only a few parts where her teeth cut it but it wasn't anything major or concerning. I definitely recommend for smaller breed dogs. It's somewhat smaller so I don't think it would be to great for bigger dogs.

Great for small puppy
I bought this for a new puppy. He is only 1.25 lbs but can handle this easily snd enjoys the softness coolness after it has been refrigerated. We’ve had no issues with his sharp teeth chewing holes on the teething toy as it has been durable, Also it entertains him quite well. Good value for the money,

Our dogs love this
This is an excellent product. We have two small dogs, poodle mix, who love to chew. The dogs love it, chew on it, will chase after it when I throw it and cannot get enough of it. Great purchase for a good price.
