what's the different between old and new ?
The new version is an improved version of the old, which mainly optimizes the piston and oil circuit design. (unexpectedly that so many road bikers use hydraulic disc brakes for the first time), this is very common for hydraulic disc brakes, No matter it is an MTB or a road bike brake, no matter how advanced or expensive your brakes are, all hydraulic brake systems and even vehicle brake systems will have such things happen, but at the same time it is very easy to solve.
In general, you just need to hold the moving side, which will make the lazy side move, and then give the piston a little lubrication. Repeat a few times. It only takes one minute to solve this problem.
