Sandeel is abundant in the summer months around Funen, but trout are happy to take it all year round. The bait's versatility and enticing gait nicely imitate a foraging or fleeing sandeel. The bait may - seen from below through the eyes of the sea trout - also resemble a sprat or herring in its movement pattern. When spin-stopped, it sinks rocking towards the bottom - no trout can do that.
