In practice, it goes so much farther than that! The Whammy has introduced new sounds and pitch bends not available with other devices. It has been used by countless musicians to open up new worlds of expression. 

Featuring six Whammy settings, 10 different Harmony modes, and the deep/shallow Detune modes, the Whammy 4 is one of the most versatile and praised octave/pitch shifters available on the market. This little red rectangle gives you a full control over sending your sound plummeting through the floor or piercing through the ceiling for a world of shifting, experimental effects.

This Whammy was modded by JHS. The JHS Internal True Bypass Mod makes the Whammy function in true bypass, and that makes this pedal way more friendly on your pedalboard. It also has a super-bright LED. JHS no longer offers Mod services, and these are getting harder to find. 

This Digitech Whammy 4 shows some wear and tear, especially paint chips all around the edges. Nevertheless, it functions 100% as it should, and it sounds fantastic. The JHS Mod is a huge improvement on the original circuit. Velco has been added to the underside, and it includes the correct power supply.
