The side awning for the GEAR ROCK ® Kootenay has dimensions of 2500 x 2000mm and offers a large covered area next to the roof tent.

It is attached with a zipper, which is already standard on the Kootenay  is attached under the upper shell on both long sides. This gives you flexibility and you can choose the side you want to use. A second awning can also be attached to the opposite side at the same time. There is no greater flexibility possible.

The Kootenay has a strong connection that is protected against moisture ingress. Installation is simple: zip on the awning fabric, insert the telescopic corner poles into the eyelets, tighten, and you're done.

Reinforced eyelets on the corners are used to insert the telescopic corner poles, which can be extended up to 2.30 m. The guy rope is attached to the protruding spike and secured in the ground with a heavy-duty peg.

A big advantage is that the awning is attached to the upper shell. This gives you 85cm of additional height (when unfolded), which is a big advantage, especially for lower vehicles. The awning can also be used as a side wind and weather protection by being guided to the ground and secured without telescopic poles.

A space-saving awning set, safely stowed in the transport bag. The small dimensions of 120 x 10 x 10cm when packed, also allow it to be stowed in the Kootenay.

The GEAR ROCK ® Kootenay awning is suitable for the standard size Kootenay as well as the Kootenay X-Large.

Great Book.
Format: Mass Market Paperback
Its great to be able to go back and read Stokely Carmichael today in his own words. This book provides an excellent overview of what black power means and how the concept originated. Although the book seems a bit dated today, many of the ideas presented are still entirely relevant. Ive only given the book four stars due to its age. Many of the statistics presented are dated, and undoubtedly there are other texts available today that present these ideas in a much better/newer way. But if you are interested in Stokely Carmichael and what he stood for, this is the book to read.

Format: Paperback
Excellent articulation of the Black Power initiative within the Civil Rights Movement. A detailed view of Black Power, it's objectives, how these would be achieved, as well as it's misinterpretations. An afterword from each author appended in 1992 provides insight, reflection, and perspective on all that's changed, and what hasn't, since the book's publishing.
