What Is Copper Slug Tape and How Does It Work?

Protect your garden from unwanted pests with this copper slug tape, designed to create a natural deterrent for slugs and snails. When they touch the copper surface, it triggers a mild reaction that encourages them to retreat. It offers an effective, chemical-free way to defend pots, raised beds, and greenhouse shelves from pest damage while remaining safe for pets, children, and wildlife.

How to Use Copper Slug Tape in Your Garden

To use, first clean and dry the surface where you’ll apply the tape. Measure and cut the required length, then peel off the adhesive backing and press the tape firmly around the base of pots, garden beds, greenhouse legs, or any other area you want to protect. Ensure there are no gaps or overlaps, as slugs and snails may bypass incomplete barriers. For maximum results, apply before peak slug season and inspect regularly to keep the copper surface clean and debris-free.

Where to Apply Copper Tape for Effective Pest Control

This copper tape can be used on a variety of outdoor surfaces including terracotta, plastic, metal, and wood. It is ideal for plant pots, seed trays, compost bins, greenhouse shelving, raised beds, and along vegetable garden borders. Once applied correctly, it offers continuous protection through all weather conditions. See our serrated slug tape for extra protection.

Why Maintain Copper Tape for Slug and Snail Prevention?

Over time, dirt or plant matter may reduce the effectiveness of the copper surface. To maintain performance, gently wipe the tape periodically using a damp cloth. This ensures the copper remains exposed and active. For added defence during heavy pest activity, use in combination with our organic slug pellets.

Great For Dry Hair
I've never tried Batana Oil before, so I had no idea what to expect. It's a great oil for my hair. I love that it is all-natural oil and is more like a paste. It spreads easily on my hair. I love that I can put a tiny bit on my finger and rub it directly into my dry scalp. The oil has an interesting but pleasant smell. It's hard to describe. It reminds me a bit of a cross between coffee and cacao, but more nutty and mild. I like it. It's not too strong. The directions say to apply and leave in for 20 minutes, then wash out with a sulfate-free shampoo. I like to leave it in my hair for a day or two before washing it again. It's a great conditioning oil for dry and damaged hair. It might feel heavy on fine or thin hair, but I like it on my medium-thick hair. The only reason I dropped this a star is that I'm dubious of the claim that it promotes hair growth. I think it helps my dry hair from breaking off, but I don't think it can do much for most hair loss. However, for hair conditioning, this is definitely a five star product.

Single-ingredient moisturizing treatment with a pleasant smell
When this is described as "batana oil," that's exactly what it is. Not a dozen other ingredients with just a little bit of batana, no colors or fragrances, just batana oil. I love that about this. It's easy to use, just melt it into you hands and massage it into your scalp and hair. Folks with long hair would do well to concentrate on the ends since that's where you're less likely to get natural oil from your scalp to help keep the hair healthy. Leave it in for a bit, then wash it off in the shower with shampoo. Not at all complicated. I loved how my scalp felt afterward, definitely less itchy and "tight." as far as regrowing any hair or anything, I think the only thing that would help me is a miracle, so I'm not basing my review on that. The smell is nutty and very nice. Similar to the roasty notes of coffee or chocolate. Very pleasant and not "chemical" or perfumey smelling.

Nice Scent but Too Early to See Results
I’ve just started using this batana oil, so it’s too early to say if it actually helps with hair growth or thickness. I’ll need to use it consistently for a while before seeing real results. So far, I do like the smell—it has a nice scent and doesn’t feel overwhelming. The oil itself feels nourishing and easy to apply to the scalp and hair. The size is decent for the price, but like most hair treatments, the effectiveness will really depend on long-term use. Pros: Pleasant scent Feels nourishing on hair and scalp Easy to apply Cons: Too early to tell results Overall, it seems promising, but you’ll need to give it time to see if it actually delivers on the hair growth claims.
