Transform Your Plant Shelf with Stunning Silver‑Variegated Foliage

Experience the tropical elegance of the Silver Leaf Philodendron (Philodendron Brandtianum), a fast‑growing, air‑purifying vine with beautiful silver‑mottled heart‑shaped leaves. Perfect for beginners and seasoned plant enthusiasts, this versatile indoor plant thrives in bright to medium indirect light and tolerates lower light conditions. Train it up a moss pole or let it trail gracefully from hanging baskets—this resilient philodendron adapts to any space.

Why Choose Silver Leaf Philodendron?

  • Air‑Purifying Power: Filters indoor pollutants like formaldehyde and benzene for healthier air.
  • Dynamic Color: New leaves emerge yellow or orange before maturing into striking green and silver patterns.
  • Low Maintenance: Drought‑tolerant and forgiving of irregular watering—ideal for busy lifestyles.
  • Versatile Display: Perfect for shelves, terrariums, hanging planters, or climbing focal points.
  • Pet Safety: Toxic if ingested—keep out of reach of pets and children.

Essential Care Guide

  • Light: Bright, indirect light for best variegation; tolerates medium light but may fade in low light.
  • Water: Water when the top 1″ of soil is dry; avoid standing water to prevent root rot.
  • Humidity: Prefers 50–70%; thrives with occasional misting or a pebble tray.
  • Temperature: 65–80°F (18–27°C); protect from drafts and temps below 60°F (15°C).
  • Soil & Fertilizer: Use a well‑draining mix; feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer.
  • Propagation: Easily rooted from stem cuttings in water or soil within 2–4 weeks.
  • Pruning & Support: Trim leggy vines to encourage fullness; provide a moss pole or trellis for climbing.
  • Pests: Watch for spider mites and mealybugs; treat early with neem oil or insecticidal soap.

Pro Tip: Boost Growth & Variegation

Rotate monthly for even light exposure and place near a humidifier or on a pebble tray to mimic tropical conditions.

Hours of pleasure and learning
N.T. Wright is an excellent teacher - easy to listen to and so knowledgeable. The videos follow the book exactly and the accompanying workbook makes study a joy not a chore

Part of a Set
There are three items available in Wright and Bird's massive work on the New Testament. This is the video that goes with the text and there is also a Workbook.

Video lectures, just as the subtitle promises
I was seduced into buying this set on the basis of NT Wright's reputation and advertising graphics showing Holy Land locations. Consequently, I didn't pay sufficient attention to the subtitle: "The New Testament in Its World: Video Lectures." And "lectures" is exactly what this set delivers. Talking heads, lecturing on the New Testament; sometimes in a studio, sometimes in eastern Mediterranean locations. The content is solid evangelical biblical scholarship. My disappointment is the almost complete lack of engagement with the spectacular settings much of these films are shot in. It seems to me that Wright and his producers missed a real opportunity by failing more explicitly to relate their lecture content to the places where they're standing. I give this set a three-star rating. The lectures are a perfectly fine introduction to the New Testament, if that's what you're looking for -- but you could put them on CDs or MP3s and listen in the car. The graphics add very little to these presentations.

Didn't get a lot out of it
My wife got me this for a Christmas present. Having previously made it through Eusebius' "Proof of the Gospel", she figured I could handle it. I know this is part of Zondervan's Academic product line and as such is not aimed at a general audience. What I discover was that if the audience lacks credentials in Philosophy or Theology, the incessant use of jargon and terminology that would most often only be encountered in a Seminary or Religious College is something I found off-putting.
