Pining after the high-gain sounds contemporary to the ‘90s and ‘00s, founder Josh Scott initially landed with the idea for the Hard Drive in 2016. All these years later, this vision finally comes to fruition. The JHS Hard Drive attacks its ‘90s and ‘00s high gain tones from a unique angle by utilizing cascaded gain stages and a hard limiting circuit. This design continues with a class AB amplifier section, driving a “sweepable midrange” EQ and Baxandall bass and treble controls.
