The BOLLÉ GUNFIRE Tactical Glasses Kit is designed to address this risk at the highest certified ballistic standard available for eyewear — STANAG 4296 (the NATO ballistic test protocol), MIL-PRF-32432 (U.S. military performance specification), and ANSI Z87.1-2015 (civilian high-velocity impact standard). This combination of certifications means the GUNFIRE lens has been tested against high-velocity projectile fragments and impacts that would cause penetrating ocular trauma with unprotected eyewear.
The kit's three-lens system addresses the operational reality that light conditions change. The Clear lens provides maximum visual acuity in low-light or indoor environments. The Smoke lens reduces glare and brightness in full sun. The CSP (Category Solar Protection) lens is Bollé's light-adaptive solution — engineered for conditions that alternate between bright and low light rapidly, and for extreme temperature environments where standard tinted lenses can impair vision when transitioning from shade to sunlight.
PLATINUM® ASAF coating — Bollé's proprietary anti-scratch and anti-fog dual treatment — is applied as standard across all three lenses.
