A vigorous and dense climber that can also be used as a groundcover, it is easy to grow, tough and very reliable. Birds, butterflys and other pollinators love this plant. Cream flowers will adorn the plant in Spring and Summer. Will grow in light shade to quite shady areas, also grows as an indoor plant. Feed with a good all-purpose fertiliser in the warmer months. Copes well with a hard cut back if needed to keep the desired shape and size.
Propagation is easy from both seed and from cuttings, which will root readily.
Bushfood use - The berries of this plant are edible. Small round berries of around ⅓” inches across. These bluish black berries are delicious.
Cissus Antartica 'Kangaroo Vine' occurs naturally on the NSW coast and inland and to southern Queensland.

Cissus Antartica 'Kangaroo Vine' seeds are approximately 8mm in size. As a general rule Cissus Antartica 'Kangaroo Vine' seed should be sown to the depth of the seed. Although most Australian native/ endemic seed can be sown throughout the seasons across Australia it is advisable to sow in Spring or Summer in colder regions. The optimum temperate to ensure the best possible germination rate for sowing many Australian native/ endemic species is around 18-22°C. |

Do not be to quick to discard pots that haven't yet shown signs of seed germination.
