Ranar has the ability to cross over the barriers between giving him a deadly advantage in battle. As a Spirit guardian and your commander, he’ll send a Spirit to aid your cause every time you exile something.
Take advantage of your creatures’ powerful ‘enters-the-battlefield’ abilities by blinking them in and out of existence. Your Victory Has Been Foretold
Is that a counter-spell up your sleeve? An Instant to save a creature from the grave? Only your ghostly army will be transparent.
Kaldheim debuts the "foretell" mechanic. During your turn, you can pay mana to exile a card with the foretell ability from your hand, face down. You can then cast it on a later turn for its foretell cost—unless Ranar's on your side, that is, to let you foretell for free for the first time each turn. This gives you a huge advantage in battle, and with the right tactics, it will leave your opponents guessing!
