The unique design of the Horizon Vision also makes it the only folding tent in the world to offer clear waterproof windows on the front and rear as well as corner windows, increasing airflow and proving great panoramic views. When closed the Horizon Vision is protected by a heavy PVC travel cover that attaches via thick elastic cords, eliminating the need for difficult zippers. Access to the tent is easily gained by using the telescoping ladder that comes standard with all James Baroud roof top tents.

Tent Fabric

We guarantee you won't find a higher-quality, better-performing fabric on any roof top tent. All James Baroud tents utilize a proprietary aluminized polyester with acrylic coating that is 100% waterproof, breathable, UV-resistant, and solar-reflective. All windows are covered with quality insect-proof netting.

Mattress

One of the most important features of a roof top tent is the part you sleep on: the mattress. All James Baroud roof top tents feature a thick, moisture-resistant 3" high-density foam mattress. Mattresses have a heavy duty zippered cover for easy removal and cleaning. 

Interior Storage

All tents include a removable storage pocket for stowing keys, wallets, headlamps, clothing or anything else you need to quickly stash inside the tent. 

Assisted Opening

Patented gas strut-assisted opening makes set up incredibly fast and easy - less than 30 seconds, and nearly as quick to collapse back down. 

Simple Mounting

The Horizon Vision is simple to install. Tents feature reinforced mounting rails integrated into the lower shell/platform of the tent, and include installation brackets allowing easy direct mount to most aftermarket roof rack systems.

Ladder

Entry to the tent is easily gained by using the specially-designed telescoping aluminum ladder. This unique design automatically adjusts to the height of your vehicle and prevents bending while you're in the tent.

Durability & Extreme Weather Performance

James Baroud employs a former Dakkar Rally driver to conduct testing on each tent. All James Baroud tents have passed a grueling durability test, and you can sleep in confidence knowing that James Baroud tents are waterproof and tested in winds up to 60 mph. One of the arm rests was cracked all the way through. And a piss poor design, too. The back attaches to the armrests which in turn connect to the base. Without three or four people, it's simply not possible to put this worthless excuse for a chair together. And don't even THINK about using it WITH the back but WITHOUT the armrests!! Can't do it. Not possible. Terrible design. Seriously, this is right at the top of the list of useless junk I've gotten from Amazon. Not Amazon's fault exactly, they just sell the crap and at least they make it super easy to return this idiotic junk. OK, maybe it IS their fault. Shipped and sold by Amazon so there's that.... Oh, it took over a week to get here, too so there's THAT as well. Yup, looks like a great deal at first. But....after spending half your life trying to assemble it.... Nope. Not worth one damn cent. Utter absolute junk. Last warning: DO NOT BUY THIS RUBBISH!!! Don't you do it!! Clearly I loved this purchase.

extremely comfy
I’m in love with this chair. It’s extremely comfy and I can sit for long periods of time without any back pain. It’s easy to move around despite having no wheels. I have a plastic chair mat under my desk and it slides across it easily when I need to move it out of the way. I love the height of this chair as well. I am 4’11 and most chairs even at their lowest setting my feet don’t fully reach the floor comfortably. Usually my legs are leaned forward or on my toes a bit. However this chair at its lowest setting I can perfectly reach the floor and knees are at the comfiest 90 degree angle. SETUP: The chair was fairly easy to put together. Thankfully I read the reviews or I would’ve been extremely frustrated. The instructions for this are literally 4 steps that make it seem super easy. It is but not because of the instructions. Another reviewer left a video review and said it’s easier to put together if you swap steps 4 and 3 so you can line up the holes on the back with the bottom easier. This is 100% true so thanks for that reviewer!!! I’ll add on - you have to put the back and bottom together at kind of a weird angle to get the holes to line up and start with the back holes first! I can’t even really describe the angle but it feels really wrong. Almost like a wider angle than you think it should ever go. The back of the chair isn’t a 90 degree angle it tilts back a bit. If you can find the angle you’ll get the screws in with very little issue. I put this together by myself in about 5 minutes and 4 of those minutes were figuring out the angle for the back of the chair. CONS: I only have one con really. It’s the angle of the back of the chair. It’s tilted back just a tad too much for me. I like to be able to sit back in my chair and lean into the back but with this one if I do that I can’t type very well. I think if I add a lumbar support pillow I can lean back comfortably. To me, it’s not a huge deal because of the overall comfort and price of this chair. But something worth mentioning.

Can work, just need to be creative

The chair itself is comfortable and nice. Castor is very fluid as well as the hydraulic up-and-down. The problem is the screw sets for the back of the chair. The individuals that made this chair, and from what I see a majority of the other chairs like it, the bolt settings in the back of the chair are not angled correctly for the lumbar support angles. The intelligent, mathematicians, and engineers that have put this chair together did not calculate that lumbar angle. This means that when you try to put the bolt into the nut, you need to have at least a 25° angle for the bolt to fit properly in which the setting is not created for that process. In the end I ended up being able to get the bottom bolts into the backing of the chair, the top bolts were not able to get the proper angle to secure the chair. This being said, the chair still works comfortable and functional. It just does not have the top two bolts in the lumbar section.
