THIS TENT FLY IS DESIGNED FOR WILDERNESS WALL TENTS. The Wilderness Wall Tent features a stove jack in the front left corner (as you would enter the front door) that is 30" from the front door and 30" from the top of the sidewall.

CAMPING FLY IS INCLUDED IN THE WILDERNESS TENT PACKAGE AT NO ADDITIONAL COST.

  • 8 OZ CLEAR POLY (not a thin tarp like at Walmart)
  • REINFORCED CUT-OUT FOR STOVE PIPE: Has a 16" square cut-out reinforced with webbing to match the stove pipe opening in the Wilderness Wall Tent’s roof. The location of the opening in the tent is 30" from the front door and 30" from the top of the sidewall.
  • INCLUDES 200 FEET OF ROPE & 20 TENSIONERS: Grommets on each ridge end and D-rings along the sides.
  • This tent fly cover only has a shipping bag (not a large storage bag).

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND A FLY: A fly extends the life of your tent.

WHY YOU NEED A FLY

  • Protects the canvas roof from stove sparks from burning a hole in the roof. It is much better to repair a fly or replace a fly than repair a canvas roof or replace a tent due to spark holes.
  • Another moisture barrier. There are thousands and thousands of stitching needle holes in the roof. Normally, these holes close once the canvas gets wet. However, occasionally a needle hole will not close easily. A wall tent fly will prevent any possible water leaks.
  • Keeps the roof clean. When camping under trees, pitch and dirt rain down on your tent roof. The only way to remove pitch is to use a harsh detergent, which destroys the water, mildew, and fire treatment. Then you will definitely need a fly because the roof will likely leak.
  • Takes water and snow up to 1 foot past each side of the tent. The camping fly overhangs 8-12 inches past each sidewall to take snow and water from the tent walls, reducing the possibility of water coming into your tent.
  • Prevents rain from running down your roof and into the side windows. Occasionally, a side window will leak if not using a tent fly cover. Sometimes the stitching needle holes will not close properly.
  • Insulation. The space between the tent roof and fly is heated due to the heat from the tent escaping through the roof.
  • Protects the roof from UV rays. The first part of your tent that deteriorates is the roof due to UV rays. A fly increases the life expectancy of your tent greatly.
  • Set up. The D rings are along the walls so the fly can be staked down.

If you are a hunter and are in the woods for extended periods, I RECOMMEND YOU BUY A WALL TENT FLY or some type of very heavy-duty poly tarp to protect your tent’s roof. Additionally, there are thousands and thousands of needle holes in your roof. Ordinarily, those needle holes will close up when dousing your tent with water when you shrink the tent. However, sometimes there are needle holes that don't close up. It is best to buy a fly or heavy tarp so you don't have surprise leaks during hunting camp.

There is no guarantee on the fly in windy conditions. There is no fly made that can withstand normal fly placement on a tent in windy conditions. During windy conditions, take the tent fly cover down to prevent wind from getting under the fly. A camping fly flapping in the wind will tear out the grommets and eventually tear the fly to shreds.

Not a bad buy
Size: 36inch, Color: Light Walnut, Size: 36inch, Color: Light Walnut
Very Light weight, they look great though. Fairly easy to put together. Came with all parts I’ll be it scattered and the screws don’t look sturdy but I won’t be using the ones that it came with. Overall, fair price, quality is fair as well.

They worked for replacing shelves but I wouldn’t mount them on my wall
Size: 24inch, Color: Walnut
I specifically bought these shelves because of their dimensions. I have a built-in cabinet and when we moved in 6 or so years ago, the previous owners must have taken them with them when they moved. It’s been bothering me the whole time I’ve lived here and wanted to make some but just never found the time to get around to it. I measured them out and these floating shelves were perfect for the dimensions I needed to replace the missing shelves. Would I put these on my wall(s)? Absolutely not unless I corrected the mounting issues. One thing that really stuck out to me was how bad the design was for mounting these shelves. When I took them out of the packaging, the brackets were falling out of the back everywhere. This did not inspire too much confidence that if I hung them up, they would be stable. I’ve had a ton of floating shelves similar to this mounting design, but the arms that the boards slide into on the wall for this particular shelving are thin and flat (while being easily mailable with your hand alone) in comparison to every other one I’ve had being round, or at least decently thick, sometimes with additional screws that you can insert under the board and into the mounting arms for extra stability. Also, any time I’ve ever had to mount a similar floating shelf, it took some finesse and strength to release the mounting arms from the back of the shelf because they fit very snugly. The fact that the mounting brackets were falling out of the back means that they are not snug and prone to be very loose. Another thing that stuck out to me is that the shelves are hollow. Now, for my purposes, this is fine, but again, detracts significantly from the confidence that these would be stable if mounted on the wall and would most likely droop when weight was applied. I also took issue with the fact the boards had no protective covering and were jammed into a box, with the hardware pressing against one of the boards tightly. I just flipped the shelf over to mask the defect from packaging but the side I wanted to use because it had better coloring was the damaged side. Mine did not come with any mounting directions but some common sense would be all you needed to put up something so simple. However, it did not come with a template to mark the wall for spacing, which adds to the difficulty because you have to have precise DIY measurements to slide the boards onto the mounting arms correctly. To be honest, if I were to mount these, I would bypass the shoddy mounting provided and go with some heavy, durable brackets underneath. Overall, these shelves worked for my purposes but I can see how the reviews would be very mixed in terms of mounting and quality. I did get these on a limited time deal and they were priced at approximately $8 per shelf, which was a really good deal to get 4 shelves for that price in comparison to the “normal” price resulting in approximately $11/shelf. I wouldn’t have paid full price for these and would have been highly disappointed had I with the intention to mount them, especially since I would have needed to provide better and more stable mounting hardware. They are lesser quality than others within the same price range and I think you could do much better if your intention is to mount them.
