You can now take a warm shower with privacy and comfort while in a large tent. This tent shower not only provides hot-pressurized water, but captures the water and drains it outside the tent.

Here’s the story - In order to help my city wife endure camping, several years ago I rigged up a pump sprayer with nozzle that has an on/off switch on the handle. By putting hot water in the tank and pumping it up, she had a hot-pressurized shower. This worked great as we camped in warmer months. Once the sun had been up a while and the weather was warm, we would set up a privacy popup outside. We would heat water in a solar bag, or if in a hurry, on a propane stove. Pouring the hot water into the pump sprayer, the pump provided enough pressure to not only easily wash her body but also to shampoo and rinse her thick curly hair. It worked great, as long as the weather was warm. She loves her daily hot shower. When she is clean while camping, life is much better.

In June, we went camping in the Rocky Mountains at an elevation of 8,200 feet. Even though it was late in the month, it snowed on us. We had our large wall tent with a wood-burning stove, so we were comfortable inside the tent. I had brought a shower enclosure, the pump sprayer and a water heater pan to stand in to capture the water. Everything worked great except all of the water didn’t end up in the pan and we ended up with water on our tent floor.

During this group camp, we had a “tour of tents” to see what creative camp gear others had. One particularly ingenious camper had used Velcro and vinyl to capture the water into a base and drain it outside. The last part of the puzzle was complete. I came home and designed that feature into my shower enclosure. Plus, I improved it by adding a shower curtain and rod. By the way, there is even enough room in the enclosure to use a bath mat and a small chair for dressing.

My deluxe tent shower now works perfectly. No more water on the tent floor! All the water stays in the tub and drains outside the tent. The three an one-half gallon tank provides enough water for my wife and daughter to shower and sometimes there is even enough for me.  The good news is that I don't need any water to wash my hair, since my hair left me years ago.  So when we go camping in cold weather, my wife gets a warm shower, washes her hands in her Deluxe Camp Sink whenever needed and is clean and comfortable.

Here’s what is included with your Deluxe Tent Shower -

Durable metal pump sprayer with a long hose and on/off button
Large utility tub to capture the water 36” x 24” x 8”
Hose - attaches to the connector on the tub and drains the water outside
Privacy enclosure with water capture system
Wooden dowel – shower rod
Shower curtain and rings
Bamboo shower platform to avoid standing in the water
Two foot drain pipe with cap

So now you don’t have to worry about how to keep clean while camping in cold weather. Showering with your Deluxe Tent Shower is easy and convenient.  And with your Deluxe Camp Sink, you can wash your hands and face and brush your teeth whenever needed. Camping is not only more comfortable when you are clean, but safer, as sanitation is a critical part of our overall well-being.

Good book
Format: Audiobook
Book was interesting but had a hard time with the Scottish accent. Plus I have hearing problems so that may have been part of the issue too.

Pronunciation matters, and I can't finish this book.
Format: Audiobook
I listen almost exclusively to books set in Scotland & Ireland, so I'm very familiar with the accents and find them incredibly charming. That said, the name pronunciation really irritated me. The main character is Ally, but they are not pronouncing it to rhyme with Sally. It sounds more like they are separating it into two words- All E. After investing hours into the audiobook and trying to not let it bother me, they introduce an American character, Mamie, which should rhyme with "maybe", but NO- they call her Mommy! It is very confusing- I kept thinking a new character was introduced who was a parent. Nope. I give up. I don't think I can finish listening to this. I feel like I'm being pranked.

Enjoyable Scottish-Flavored Cozy Mystery, Although Not a Hard Solve
Format: Kindle
Ally is a 60-something-year-old woman who upends her life in Edinburgh to move to tiny Locharran in the Scottish Highlands and open a B&B in the old malthouse located on the estate (like the rest of the town) of the Earl of Locharran, Hamish Sinclair. She has her first paying guests in an older, English couple, and an American, Wilbur Carrington, who is investigating his Scottish roots -- and possibly his being the rightful Earl of Locharran? Ally's cleaning lady finds Wilbur with a knife in his back outside the B&B. This is sure gonna' affect Ally's brand-new business! Of course, her kids back in Edinburgh are concerned for her safety as well. Along with the lecherous earl's attention to Ally, the murder at the local B&B makes Ally the intense focus of local gossip, so this spurs her into attempting to solve the murder herself, as the local gendarmes don't seem to be having much luck. So...whodunnit? As soon as more folks showed up on the scene, renting rooms for Ally, the identity of the murderer(s?) became more clear. I still enjoyed the descriptions of the scenery; the new lab puppy; and the townfolk, even though this "Scottish" mystery was obviously written for an American audience w/ many stereotypes thrown in. 4 stars.

Great cozy mystery series
Format: Kindle
I love that the main character is an energetic independent older woman I can relate to. Ally is funny, smart, and says what’s on her mind and even at her age (late 60’s) has to deal with Romantic situations some encouraged and some definitely not. I totally enjoyed this book couldn’t put it down and plan to read the remaining books in this series. The book definitely keeps your interest from the first chapter on. I loved that the setting was in Scotland (I’m part Scottish) and it was describe so beautifully I almost felt like I was there.
