VINTAGE STEER
This leather combines the deep luster that develops with use, characteristic of natural material tannin-tanned leather, with the flexibility, high strength, and water resistance of chrome-tanned leather. After chrome tanning, half of the chromium content is removed, and then the leather is vegetable-tanned, establishing a "de-chrome mixed tanning" process. When you try it on, you'll notice the characteristic "kishikuri sound" unique to tannin-tanned leather, an audible squeak. From the first wear, you'll feel a sense of unity with your body, as well as the unique suppleness and stability of tannin. This creates a rich, textured finish that faithfully reproduces the ancient teaching of leather: forming to the wearer's body over time.
