Hi- I think this is a good grinder although to this point I ground about 2/3 of the glass chamber full of a good quality peppercorn. If your debating this device and am worried if you'll get years of use I know I don't force it but rather learn to allow the tool to do the work. If you have arthritic hands and use this for hard products like fresh peppercorns or coarse Himalayan salt then treat yourself to a good rechargeable grinder (or better yet ask your children to get you one for all the great meals you make for them & have made for them !)
