It has a 5-way bandwidth selector, allowing you to fatten the bottom end or thin out the highs, giving you tremendous flexibility - add in the distortion and you've got innumerable possibilities.

Inspired by the Maestro Parametric Filter MPF-1 of the '70s, this has modern technological advancements including virtually silent circuitry and True Bypass footswitch, Alpha pots, and Panasonic and Multicomp caps. But don't let the word distortion distract you - the PDF1 has a myriad of applications, not just for rock and metal. It isn't over-the-top or overbearing, it is malleable and musical, unlike a lot of stompboxes.
The Height knob boosts or drops the frequency; the Freq knob selects the frequency between 65hZ and 3kHz that you either want to boost or drop; the Bandwidth switch decreases or increases the signal to your taste; and the Clean/Dirty switch turns it into either a boost/parametric EQ or a distortion/parametric EQ.
