Tillandsia ionantha 'Fuego' is a vibrant variety of Ionantha native to Mexico and Central America. This stunning plant boasts leaves that blush a fiery red when exposed to bright, indirect sunlight. Typically, it has a green base with a hint of red, but during its blooming cycle in the winter, it transforms into a bright red display across the entire plant.
To maintain its striking red color, provide plenty of indirect sunlight or allow it to soak in 1-3 hours of direct sun each day. Known for its fast growth, 'Fuego' will produce numerous "pups" as it matures, eventually forming a beautiful ball-like clump of plants.
