The 1' tall x 2' wide deciduous offsetting rosettes are composed of fleshy grey-green leaves, often spotted with round liver colored blotches and topped in mid-July (NC) with 6' tall spikes of unusual, spidery-like flowers, dominated by the extended cinnamon and yellow anthers. Manfreda virginica is quite easy to grow as well as being very drought tolerant.
