This Capacitor kit will work for all VA0 and V1 Game Gear Motherboards and audio boards
(837-7398-01, 837-7719-01, 837-7996, 837-8560, 837-9024)
This kit will NOT work with V4 and V5 boards (837-9537, 837-9537-01 & 1.71-7923A.) We do sell kits for these models!
Tools Needed
Note: The voltages are higher on these capacitors than on the game gear itself. That's okay! The voltage rating on capacitors is the maximum voltage it can safely be exposed to. So as long as the voltage rating is equal or higher than the original you're good!
The reason I've made and sell these kits is to have an affordable option within North America. Most kits I've seen either take weeks to arrive from Europe or have a high selling/shipping cost.
Is this the best capacitor kit out there? No, however these kits do the exact same thing for a fraction of the price and are what I use exclusively for my business repairing video game consoles
