This rare and beautiful dark and moody card catalog, apothecary, haberdashery or architectural cabinet storage piece would make a perfect statement piece for your bar, wine storage, entryway, foyer, dining room, office or commercial space! 

This lateral style is very rare, custom and perfect height for a retail counter, sideboard, credenza or sofa table.

Smooth sliding, beautifully crafted dovetail oak drawers are all in very good condition inside and out. Very clean. No odors. No corrosion.

Consists of 72 drawers that include all original handles and knobs. Five of the decorative brass rod ends are missing and have been replaced with a oak plug stained to match drawer front. 

We decided to cut original vertical card catalog into two sections. A custom made steel frame now supports the two large banks of drawers side-by-side.

The top is made from three solid birch boards to match the birch drawer fronts.

This is a very heavy piece, but we made it easier to move. Simply remove the solid birch top by lifting straight up. Remove the two birch side panels with four screws on each side. The two banks of drawers fit tightly into the steel frame, but are also secured with four bolts on each end. Remove those eight bolts and the two banks can be removed from the frame. These disassembly steps can be done in just a few minutes if necessary.

A great read for those who want in depth knowledge about MS Active Directory & related services

Reviewer: 20 yrs training and consulting experience with Windows Server, Exchange Server, Active Directory, all major hypervisors, and cloud services. Active Directory along with all the related services and features are complex and many faceted topics. Books showing step by step examples are easy to come by, although not very useful since there’s plenty of Microsoft online help with the same info. What’s more important is to understand the features and related services and how to use them properly and securely. This book covers in great detail Active Directory and the related services and features. There’s also plenty of information and expertise from a security perspective. With the move to cloud services and more employees are working from home there’s a whole new level of security issues to contend with. This book contains lots of in-depth explanations that allow you to understand why certain features and services exist and how to use them. This extra depth and the author’s experience is what makes this book special. I would recommend this book for IT Professionals that already have some AD knowledge and experience. My only qualification is that I occasionally found some of the explanations confusing even after reading them over a several times. I would highly recommend this book for those who wish to understand, configure and design an AD infrastructure along with associated services including OU design, group policy, object management delegation, ADFS, Certificate Services, etc. Although the book is not about Azure AD it does cover some aspects including integrating with on-prem AD.

Detailed coverage of Active Directory
Format: Kindle
I spent several years very close to active directory but haven’t followed developments in recent years. I was interested in this book as a refresher on what’s new in the last 8-10 years – and it did not disappoint. The chapter on Advanced AD Management with PowerShell does a great job providing some background, setting the stage for why we’d want to know this, and providing some brief descriptions of various cmdlets that might be needed. My last experience with PowerShell/Active Directory required the Quest module, so seeing these native cmdlets is a nice change. The chapter on AD FS is very detailed, providing a history of the functionality, deployment topologies and considerations, as well as details on configuring the required components. This is a topic I was not familiar with before seeing this book, and it did a good job bringing me up to speed on the feature. I have not made it all the way through this book, but the sections I have completed are very good. If you are looking for a thorough reference guide on the current state of Active Directory, you should check out this book.

The biggest change is this edition thoroughly covers the latest and greatest, Windows Server 2022. It walks through security issues, the differences between this and previous versions of Windows Server and how to design and deploy a functional and secure Server 2022 Active Directory.
