The Pathos Overdrive is an extension of this; versatile, responsive and like nothing you’ve ever heard before.
Don’t be fooled by the term overdrive; this stompbox goes above and beyond. The aim is to produce crystal-clear modern tone that ranges from silky smooth to red hot, while retaining the warmth and responsive feel of an American-style tube amp. Precision meets attitude.
Full Control
The Pathos boasts a simple interface that packs a punch. First up, the voicing switch allows you to choose between Smooth and Edge. The former gives you dynamics and harmonic detail, while the latter cuts straight through the mix with glorious clarity.
The volume and gain controls expand your palette; all-out distortion, front-end tube boost or saturating a modelling amp tone, you’ll find your sweet spot. Finally, with the help of Brian Wampler, the Pathos’ powerful EQ controls unlock the true potential of your tone. Carefully voiced to sound as musical as possible, you’ve got glassy top-end, commanding midrange and a hefty bass response on tap.
