A wonder example of 10th Mountain Division equipment.  These ski goggles are in good decor condition, not to be worn.  Most 10th Mountain Division soldiers were actually recruited by the U.S. National Ski Patrol.  Goggles and snow equipment like this was monumental in the successful missions against the Germans in the Italian mountains. 

Foster Grant, Inc. was comissioned during the WWII to supply the troops with these glacier goggles.  FosterGrant is still the leading U.S. marketer of moderately priced sunglasses, and one of America's most recognized brand names. Founded in c. 1919, the company was the first to popularize sunglasses, which had their initial vogue in the 1930s. Foster Grant was well known for its long-running advertising campaign, "Who's behind those Foster Grants?"

We made use of these shelving brackets in our kitchen remodel. They turned out great. We used 2x12 Douglas Fur boards that were sanded and painted to show contrast with the brackets. The brackets installed easy enough with a level, tape measure, pencil, and a drill for pilot holes. Other reviewers are correct: the mounting screws that come with it are essentially junk. I had read this and ordered black wood screws ahead of time with the hopes of returning them. I used the 1" screws to secure the shelving to the brackets. The 2-1/2" screws get to go back as we were able to use the included screws to secure the brackets to the wall. But, two of the first three heads on the 1" screws popped off... so, we quickly moved away from those included. There is a little more flex in the brackets than I had expected... they're just a little too thin for 11-1/2" shelves. It won't affect anything for us as we'll just be placing dry food and canned goods on them in our pantry. But, if I were using them for the garage or the shop I'd probably buy a different brand OR decrease the space between brackets. I spaced mine out 12" from each edge and then 12" on center. Works well for our pantry.
