A sturdy gorgeous shrub or small tree endemic to the Southern and Eastern regions of South Africa and neighboring territories such as Swaziland. It's an evergreen that will grow 2-5 meters tall with large, creamy-white tropical looking flowers that are strongly perfumed, notably at night and typical of moth-pollinated plants. The flowers are followed by woody, greyish, egg-shaped fruits. These hard decorative fruits are difficult to open, and the seed needs to be extracted by smashing or sawing through the woody shells. If not removed from the plant, they can remain on the bush for years.
Roots are widely used in Africa to treat skin diseases, and skin lesions caused by leprosy. The roots are also used as an emetic against fever. The root bark is used as an emetic for biliousness, and to treat gallbladder problems. The roots and leaves are used in various parts of Africa to treat syphilis, and the latex is used as a purgative. The wood is heavy, dense and extraordinarily hard, a pleasing yellowish color, and it presents a high luster when polished. It also has the unusual ability to bend without breaking, but its use is limited because it is difficult to find large pieces. It is used for making buttons, tools, clubs, yokes, axles and implement handles.
Easy to grow, although it is slow-growing. It does best in slightly acid, light, well-drained soil with plenty of organic matter added and regular deep watering. Mulch thickly and regularly. It may need to be pruned to keep it shapely, or in scale with its container. Pruning should be done after flowering or just before the new growth appears. Although it is moderately drought tolerant, drought stress can cause buds to fall before opening. Gardenia thunbergia tolerates a winter minimum 25-30F although young plants will require protection from frost. It looks good as a specimen plant on a lawn as part of an informal hedge or shrubbery, or planted beside a pond or a stream. It also makes a good pot plant in a large container or for bonsai.

Review for ARTLEO Kitchen Sink Caddy with Super Water Absorbent Diatomite Stone Sink Tray, Fast Drying Sink Organizer with High Dish Brush Holder Sponge Holder for Kitchen Sink, Stainless Steel
This appears to be a sturdy organizer of stainless steel painted with a good amount of black protective paint. I ordered it to replace an inferior organizer of the same material (made by a different company altogether).
This one solves the problems I had with my previous organizer which had begun to rust and break apart after six months of use.
The narrow steel bars on the bottom shelf of this new organizer are supported by wider steel flats in the frame that will prevent them from breaking off the frame. (My old organizer bars broke because they were barely welded onto the frame and the repeated "pushing down" of my soap pump-bottle eventually broke them apart from the frame).
The pads that prevent it from sliding across my counter in big waves (we live and travel on a boat) are secured around the steel legs as opposed to just being glued onto the bottom (like the pads of my previous organizer were, which fell off). There is no metal hanging over onto the sink edge to cause rust (like the metal that had caused rust with my old organizer.)
The dish-brush holder can fit on the inside of the frame or it can hang on the outside of the organizer, which is nice because it makes more room if you have many tools that you like to use at the sink. And it can be compact if you don't. Be cautious not to remove the hanging part (dish-brush holder) too often because repeated wear can cause the paint to rub off and it could begin to rust.
The "Water Absorbent Diatomite Stone" is new to me but it seems to be working just fine. I assume I will have to clean out the ridges of it as gunk forms there, but that would be the case with any sink organizer tray.
I am very satisfied with this organizer, it is robust and it solves all the problems I had with my previous one.
The price is on the higher side of similar organizers, currently priced at $23.99.

Very pretty

This sink caddy is very pretty. It is easy to use. It has slots for brushes and whatnot. Keep in mind that not all soap bottles will fit in it though. I had to adjust my soap bottle to fit, so it kind of took up space where I could have put a little more things that same space. If you have round sponges like the ones I have, they can fit where you put the soap dispenser. It just all depends on what size soap dispenser you have in there. The quality has been good so far. It's easy to clean the bottom of the tray. It simply just slides in and out. Very easy. I recommend this.

Great for those who have little to practically no counter space

For such a small item, it holds a lot. It holds my regular scrub brush, my cast iron scrub brush, my green scour pad...two of them, my dish cloth any my nylon scrubber.
It takes up little room, but keeps the sink area from looking so cluttered
Update. While the body of this unit is still in great shape, the bottom has rusted so bad it broke. I will be buying a different caddy.

Beautiful, but not as durable as expected

We’ve been using this soap holder for about a year and while it is functional and fits our space nicely, it’s starting to rust. I’m a little disappointed that a product designed to hold wet sponges and soap doesn’t have proper coating to prevent rusting. Other than that, I love it. The tray catches runoff and easily rinses off. It home all my bottle brushes, two glass soap jars and my sponge. The design is pretty and matches my other kitchen products.
