History:

The roots of Panasonic in bicycle manufacturing go back to the 1950s, when the Japanese electronics company Matsushita Electric began producing bicycles under various brands. By the 1970s, Panasonic had established itself as one of Japan’s leading bicycle manufacturers, quickly earning a reputation for reliable frames, precise craftsmanship, and modern technology.

Panasonic became internationally well-known through its involvement in professional cycling: from 1984 onwards, the company sponsored the Dutch Panasonic Team under Peter Post. The team was one of the most successful racing squads of the 1980s, achieving victories in classics, stage races, and world championships. This high-level exposure helped Panasonic make its racing bikes known worldwide and demonstrate their quality.

In addition to professional racing bikes, Panasonic offered a wide range of models for ambitious amateurs and hobby riders. Particularly the DX and Team series combined modern components with attractive pricing, making Panasonic a prominent player in the international road bike market of the 1980s and 1990s.

Description:

The Panasonic DX3000 was introduced in the late 1980s as a sport-oriented road bike positioned in the upper mid-range of the lineup. It features a lightweight steel frame, offering both durability and a balanced riding experience.

This example is equipped with a complete Shimano RX100 group, introduced in 1989. The RX100 was positioned as a robust, precise mid-range group and offered many features of the higher-end Shimano 105, including indexed downtube shifters, aero brake levers, a reliable double-chainring crankset, and precise caliper brakes. This made the DX3000 technically state-of-the-art at the time and an attractive choice for ambitious riders.

Condition:

This bicycle is in very good used condition, with no cracks, dents, or bends in the frame. It has been fully restored: completely disassembled, all bearings cleaned and re-greased, and all components professionally overhauled. The bike was carefully reassembled, with worn parts replaced and paint imperfections expertly repaired. The result is a vintage road bike in excellent mechanical and aesthetic condition – ready to ride and collectible.

I thought this was a creative, unique toy that brought some new and different fun to my dog. She really enjoys it. I've purchased both colors. They have stayed intact and kept their squeak for my smaller but normally very destructive dog.

Not bite proof
Color: Blue
Looked like it would be fun but was destroyed in one bite. Only the top small section holds treats.

Versatile Toy
Color: Blue
My dog loved this toy. The material is like any other plastic dog toy, not super durable if you have a tough chewer. Thankfully my dog has only ripped the top part of it, which I think is because it is textured. Before he ripped it I put treats in that upper portion and it kept him entertained for a couple minutes. The little ball inside also makes it more appealing for pets because it moves around. Overall, a pretty versatile toy!

Durable toy
My dog loves this toy. The rubber is not too hard so she can squeak it well and the ball inside makes her go crazy trying to get it out. Good idea.
