Pinarello has entered the world of eBikes with the Nytro and riders can expect classic and unique Pinarello technology and speed in their new eBike range. The Nytro Road takes cues from the Dogma F in its geometry and build, making it a true performance road bike and not simply an eBike. It is made to feel like a Pinarello road bike with some extra support, helping you conquer alpine climbs, push through an endurance ride, or simply have fun on the road. This is the premier version of the Nytro, equipped with a Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 electronic 12-speed groupset, just like some of the tour-level Pinarello models. The Pinarello Nytro Road E9 gives you elite road performance with a kick.

The driving force behind the Pinarello Nytro is its TQ-HPR50 Motor and a 360 Wh integrated battery. At its peak, it can deliver 300 watts of power but still remains silent. The silent function gives you a more natural feeling like you would have on a traditional Pinarello road bike. They were able to silence the motor with a harmonic ping-ring transmission which does not have the noise of a traditional belt or gear system. The TQ-HPR Motor gives you about 100 km of travel on one charge or 140 km with the addition of a range extender. All data is shown on a clean integrated display. The Nytro represents the future of eBikes.

Staying with what they know best, Pinarello made the Nytro the lightest eBike on the market, using their years of carbon layup expertise. They used one of their premier Toray carbon layups on it in the form of T900 carbon. This is the leading option for their eBikes, providing the highest stiffness and best vibration dissipation with the strength you need for an eBike frame. That combination of characteristics leads to efficient riding along with a longer and more comfortable ride. The use of a new seatpost clamp that is completely embedded into the frame allows for another 36 gram drop in weight. This also increases the overall aero nature of the bike, making the Nytro a true Pinarello speed machine.

Like most Pinarello bikes, the Nytro features an asymmetrical geometry. The right side houses the drivetrain, so more force is exerted there. They compensated for the lopsided force with an asymmetric geometry. Aerodynamics have been improved at the headtube, downtube, and rear stays. Cables are fully integrated through the handlebar, reducing drag and keeping your cockpit clean. The road version of the Nytro is equipped with the famous ONDA Fork for impeccable handling and less vibration. The Pinarello Nytro Road allows you to explore new paths and ride to your fullest potential.

An essential book on U.S. race and capitalism!
Format: Paperback
One of the most important books on race and capitalism ever written. Such a nuanced study of the California penal system that includes the racist structure of the United States’ criminal justice system, but goes far beyond to analyze how capitalism and profit drive politicians, police, investors, landowners, and working class people—white and Black—to expand the prison system in an age of dropping crime rates. I teach it regularly to undergraduates and graduate students, and it drives fascinating discussions.

Format: Paperback
If anyone has mastered the political economy and geography of prisons in California, it is Ruth Wilson Gilmore in Golden Gulag. Gilmore does a great job of discussing and parceling out the very complex and complicated relationships that exist between capitalism as a system that produces our material world alongside economic crises, and the function of prisons to absorb, manage, relocate and "hide" those very crises in the era of neoliberalism. She also skillfully reminds us over and over that it is black and brown working-class poor communities that bear the brunt of this kind of system that also expresses it's power via white supremacy. I am finding this book very useful and chock-full of interesting information for my current research. People may find the book a difficult read because it loaded with information and technicalities they are unfamiliar with, but these are good reasons to struggle with a text and truly grasp the increasingly intricate processes that determine and guide the world we live in (and the places we may end up locked in!). As Marx said, there is no royal road to science and knowledge.
