With this King Tone Guitar HeavyHand Jesse Davey continues to decline variations from his best-selling Duellist. With the Soloist, the brand offered us channel A of the latter with some additional functions. With the HeavyHand, it's now the turn of channel B to benefit from a stand-alone pedal with small well-thought-out changes.
Finishing level, it's pretty, as always with the brand. We match the great high-end "boutique" standards of the genre. Quality case, firm knobs, very thick PCB with a very well done assembly. What are the guitar people asking for? Nothing more, everything is there! It's top quality and will last for years without flinching.
So what is this pedal? Well, it's the single-channel version of the Duellist, based on its B channel (circuit inspired by the Bluesbreaker). On the front, a Drive, Tone and Volume knob as well as a Body, which allows you to adjust the lower end of the spectrum. A mini toggle switch acts on the EQ of the pedal. Here, 3 positions: Stock (standard, neutral), Glass (top of the spectrum and brilliance highlighted) and Edge (more sharp / edged). Use this small switch in parallel with the Tone knob and you have maximum versatility to tune your sound as you see fit. Added to this is a second switch that allows you to adjust the clipping method of the pedal (Stock, Open and Comp).
After this little presentation, we grab a Stratocaster and we put ourselves on a nice clean base. At random, a Two-Rock Studio Classic Reverb, just to do it right. And there, like on its big sister the Duellist, it works like hell. The pedal produces a very punchy, very dynamic drive with a very fast response. Everything is perfectly airy, without unwelcome compression with a very "amp-like" side and increased density compared to the historic circuit. The gain range has also been revised slightly upwards. It's very open, with a big clear and tense attack. It works great on a clean, but it also works very well stacked on another Klon or TS808 type pedal. By adopting this kind of configuration, we obtain a very wide range of sound like John Mayer, Dan Patlansky, Philip Sayce...
The interesting bonus compared to the Duelist is the Body button which allows you to broaden the lower end of the spectrum with fuller, denser notes. Also, the mini-toggle switch stock / open / comp allows you to vary the texture of the drive and its attack. The Comp mode is particularly successful. This gives increased versatility to the HeavyHand.

LOVE IT!! No more lukewarm coffee!!

I have a glass coffee mug with a slight ridge on the bottom so I wasn't sure if this would work with my mug.
It did wonderfully! I found that the lower temp. is too low for how hot I like my coffee, but the next one was a bit too high,
HOWEVER, it was drinkable I just have to blow on it a little. But, even if I forget, it's NOT TOO hot to where it hurts.
It's VERY easy to use, and I'm old, hahaha

Keeps my coffee to temperature

it works great at keeping your hot drinks hot, unfortunately you have to remember to turn off once you are needing to step away or leave for the day as it will not turn off on its own until about 8 hours later, drying the coffee or drink and leaving a dry paste in bottom of cup.

it keeps my tea hot for as long as I want it

I really like the cute design of this mug warmer. I bought two so my husband and I can use them at the same time. My larger mugs fit perfectly on it. The four temperature settings, timer, and auto shut-off feature are all very useful. Now I can take my time and truly enjoy my tea.

Love them as a cheap, effective warmer.

These really work well and are inexpensive ($20). I bought one for myself and my wife.
Up front they tell you what kind of mugs/cups not to use, so read the information areas. We tried insulated mugs and the heat doesn't get passed the insulation barrier and the outsides get pretty hot to touch.
We now use ceramic mugs and they work very well on these warmers.
There are a number of temperature settings and we found the higher settings to be too hot. You will have to experiment with your own mugs to see what works.
The sensor works well letting the warmer know if a mug is in place and it will shut down after 5 minutes without a mug. Unless your cat comes along early it won't get its feet scorched accidentally.
The automatic timer works as advertised as well.
Four stars because I found that trying to figure out how to actually turn the warmer off was a bit difficult and not so intuitive.
Would definitely recommend these warmers. Hope this review helped.

A very good present for someone special

I got this from a girl you can go ahead and melt scented candles. Just stick the holder down on. It puts out a nice scent cause you 12 hours of warmth to maintain your cup of drink or sent up the room a bit works well.
