Yucca elata Oregon 'Soaptree Yucca'

Oregon Blue/Grey form - Cold Hardy -20F!

The Soaptree Yucca is a handsome species of yucca that can grow a single trunk or multiple trunks and dense but thinner (when compared to Y. rostrata) crown of foliage, 8-12 ft. tall; Stiff blue-grey leaves are 1-2 ft. long, have slightly drooping tips and together create a large circular canopy; old leaves persist on trunks for many years unless removed. Striking clusters of creamy-white flowers occur on 2-3 ft. long stalks well above the foliage in early spring.

Soaptree yucca is native to the desert regions of Mexico and parts of the American southwest where it tolerates heat, aridity, sun and temperatures to 0°F or below. It develops striking foliage character and colorful flower clusters that make it popular as an accent plant in southwestern and Mediterranean style gardens, perfect for xeriscaping! It is often grown with other cacti and succulents, in raised planters and amount boulders.

These particular plants were sourced from our own seed with parent trees in the high desert of Central Oregon, U.S.A. This variation seems to produce a striking blue/grey color foliage that seem to glow in the sun! Parent trees have been growing in our cold high desert garden where they routinely see temps as low as -10F! The parent trees have survived -12F with NO DAMAGE whatsoever and we think these plants are cold hardy to well below -20F... zone 5!! These even seem to grow much faster than standard Yuccas!

The Soaptree yucca is well adapted to hot climate locations where it thrives in sun and with normal winter snow and rainfall, and low amounts of summer water. When it matures, it is a colorful flowering accent shrub for courtyard and southwestern plantings due to its large flower inflorescence. Monthly deep watering from spring through fall will enhance its spring flowering cycle and help maintain good foliage character.

Great Heel Socks
Material Type: Black - 3 Pairs, Size: Large
I don't know how they work but it's wonderful. I've had rough heel problems for a long time. I wear these everyday and my heels are not rough. They're not baby bottom smooth, but they are not ever going to be. These heel socks also oncce they are properly positioned snap onto the heel. Properly positioning them is easy when you put them on your foot with the heel cup in the correct orientation.

Too small
Material Type: Gray - 3 Pairs, Size: X-Large
Too tight! Even size large used for a man with smaller feet is too tight. Also, no instructions for use or care.

Good fit
Material Type: Black - 3 Pairs, Size: X-Large
My husband just started using these and they feel comfortable. Hasn't used them long enough to see if his heels are better. He has a high arch so I bought him the XL and they fit perfectly.

No more painful cracked heels! These really do work!
Material Type: Black - 3 Pairs, Size: X-Large
These really do work well. This is one of the first winters that I have not experienced painful, cracked heels. They are long lasting, and definitely make my heels smoother and softer after wearing them. For the first few times wearing them I simply went with the moisturizer embedded in them. After a few uses I then covered my heels with Aquaphor Advanced Therapy Healing Ointment. This worked even better, and I would recommend it. I am very glad I bought these. Of note, I have really big feet that are quite wide and the XL are a little snug but not uncomfortably so. I use them overnight, but also have worn them under socks and they work fine.

Works for foot psoraisis
Size: 2 pairs black L
Got these for work (service industry) to reduce issues with psoriasis and blisters while putting on 20k+ steps a day. Over time the wounds healed and I could work without so much pain. I now don't use them all the time like I used to, only when a new lesion or blister appears, too prevent a breakout. Tip: if you're not in full breakout, wear thick socks under these as a barrier to friction.
