The BOSS Katana 100 MkII is the latest installation in BOSS's esteemed line of Katana Series amplifiers. And whether you're interested in accessing its pummeling hundred-watt output section and platform-perfect 12" speaker to amplify your existing modelers and preamps, or in building your dream tones from the ground up to the create the ultimate all-in-one gig and practice solution, take it  — the BOSS Katana 100 MkII is a powerful tool in the hands of any electric or acoustic player. There's even single-cable stereo operation for running dual Katanas from the stage — the perfect way to fill space in a single-guitar outfit.

The BOSS Katana MkII series

With five distinct amp characters to choose from, support for acoustic-electric guitars, and access to a wide range of customizable effects, the BOSS Katana MkII series represents a new generation of flexible amplifiers for practice and performance. A set of familiar controls allow for fast tone shaping, and you can use the BOSS Tone Studio editor software to further customize your amp settings and effects. The BOSS Katana 100 MkII is also equipped with an adjustable Power Control that allows you to achieve cranked-amp tone at lower volume levels. For a does-it-all amplifier for electric and acoustic-electric guitar, you definitely need to check out the BOSS Katana 100 MkII combo amp from Sweetwater.

What's new in the BOSS Katana 100 MkII

Here's a quick list of the hottest features in your second-gen BOSS Katana 100 combo amplifier:

  • Power Amp In(put) — Got a floor unit or tube preamp you can't live without? You can access all 100 watts of the Katana's Class A/B power section using the MkII's power amp input. Here you bypass everything before the power amp and speakers, so what you hear is exactly what you expect — only live and in living color.
  • Stereo Expand — You can fill every side of a stage with breathtaking stereo effects using the Katana's built-in Stereo Expand link. Simple master/slave operation by way of a single guitar cable makes setup a breeze. In this mode, you can access choruses that envelop the listener in a swath of oceany motion. Delays that ping-pong from ear to ear. And reverbs that descend like a cloud upon a room.
  • New amp models — The classics you love are back in full effect in the Katana MkII. Only now, you can access new variations on the original five amp models to create an even more versatile gigging platform, for country cleans to metal gains to acoustic-voiced amplification.
  • Updated BOSS Tone Studio — Customizing your sound within the Katana MkII is easier than ever using the new and improved BOSS Tone Studio software. 60 BOSS effects, channel-by-channel EQs, adjustable routing, and much more await your every command.

Ready for any style of music, even acoustic-electric

The BOSS Katana 100 MkII packs five distinct amp voicings. Clean, Crunch and Lead cover the range from chiming clean tones and gritty rhythm tones to solo-worthy high-gain leads. As an added bonus, the Brown setting is derived from the BOSS Waza amplifier — think iconic '80s metal. And finally, the Acoustic mode allows you to plug-in your acoustic-electric guitar, too. No matter what style of music you play, or even what kind of guitar you play, there's a world of tone to explore in the BOSS Katana 100 MkII combo amplifier.

Cab-emulated outputs for silent recording and performance

While the BOSS Katana 100 MkII offers a Power Control for getting cranked-amp tone at a low volume level, you can achieve truly silent operation onstage or in the studio by connecting the amp's line output to a line input on your recording device or a PA, completely bypassing the speaker. Cab emulation is available on the USB and headphone outputs, as well, so however you choose to monitor your BOSS Katana 100 MkII, it'll feel like you're standing in front of an amp. Selectable cab resonance (Vintage/Modern/Deep) and Air Feel miking emulation (direct, distant, or blended) allow you to tailor emulated tones to taste.

Powered by the NEW BOSS Tone Studio

The BOSS Katana 100 MkII supports 60 timeless BOSS effects, and you can load an entire series of them for instant access. The amp's Booster/Mod, FX/Delay, and Reverb controls give you easy one-knob access to each effects type, with a color-coded button to switch between preset effects. To completely customize your effects and amp settings, connect the BOSS Katana 100 MkII to your computer via USB and load up the Tone Studio software. Create your own setup, or download setups created by pro guitarists at the BOSS Tone Studio website. Best of all, the BOSS Katana 100 MkII can store multiple custom amp and effects profiles for instant recall, making this combo a versatile multi-channel amplifier.

Great Knee Support
Color: Blue
The 1-inch thickness provides exceptional support and cushioning, making it ideal for a variety of exercises beyond just yoga. The high-density foam used in this mat is a game-changer. It not only cushions my joints but also retains its shape remarkably well. The carrying strap is a convenient addition, allowing for easy transport wherever I go. Plus, the mat is easy to clean, which is a huge plus after sweaty workout sessions. While the extra thickness might not suit everyone's preferences, especially if you prefer a thinner mat for certain poses, I find it perfect for my needs. It strikes an excellent balance between comfort and stability, providing the right amount of cushioning without compromising stability during balancing poses. Overall, the BalanceFrom All Purpose Yoga Mat will become an indispensable part of my fitness routine. Its durability, support, and easy maintenance make it a top choice for anyone seeking a reliable exercise mat for various workouts.

Perfect For My Routine
Color: Black
I am retired military, so exercise has always been a part of my daily routine. Since the pandemic I have had to adjust, which is hard because the gym has the equipment I have become accustomed to. I didn’t realize how different it was working out there as when I started to work out at home on my hard wood floors (no carpet anywhere). I thought it would be easy but the military exercise mat is entirely too thin and was making my tailbone hurt tremendously, so I had to give up my sit-ups and some other ab exercises. This kind of threw a wrench into my routine and I could start feeling my motivation go away. I decided to take a look on Amazon for a thicker mat. I should have done this long ago because I found this one I’m writing about. It’s the shape of any typical exercise Matt except it’s 1” thick. It appears to be made of a type of foam (not bothering to look at the description right now). When I pulled it out I thought I was going to sink in making sit-ups even harder but it’s firm but not hard. I like it better than what is at the gym. Durability will be hard to determine until I’ve had it a while but I’m definitely excited to start back up on my exercises. I recommend this mat if you have hard wood floors, bad back, bad knees, etc. I thought I read some negative reviews about mats this thick because of yoga and balance but I beg to differ. If balancing is part of your exercise routine, then a mat which makes balance harder is exactly what you want. Exercise is supposed to be challenging and you need to work harder to see a difference. If that isn’t your goal or if balance is a medical issue, this may not be the right mat for you. Something you may not think about is I have chronic foot pain and this mat makes it less painful for me to stand or jump. For me, this mat is perfect.

Extra Cushioning for Comfort
Color: Red
This mat is thick and cushy - even with meniscus tears in both knees I can comfortably exercise. And I love the color.

Nice, thick & comfy but came w/ punctures in foam; seller provided discount
Color: Purple, Color: Purple
I love the mat. It's thick and very comfortable on my knees. However, when I opened it for the first time at my yoga class, there were several cuts or punctures in the foam. I attempted to return it and the seller offered me a 10% refund due to the damage. I am concerned that the mat may deteriorate due to the damage it came with, but I need it and have no idea if the cuts will matter over time. So I accepted the $3 refund and am keeping the mat.
