Built on the trusted platform of the Windrider and Southwest models, it combines the best features of both, offering a balance of durability, organization, and weight savings.
Constructed with 100% waterproof Dyneema® Woven Composite 3.9 the Junction 40L keeps your gear protected from the elements while remaining exceptionally light. The pack features a roll-top closure, allowing you to easily adjust the volume and secure the load depending on your needs.
What sets the Junction apart is its external pocket configuration. It has two solid side pockets made from Dyneema® Hardline fabric, offering added durability in rugged terrain, and a large front mesh pocket that’s ideal for storing wet or frequently used gear. The mesh allows airflow to help dry out damp items and provides visibility of the contents.
The main compartment offers 40 liters of internal storage, along with an internal hydration sleeve, spacious side water bottle pockets, and large zippered hip belt pockets for quick access to essentials. With a total recommended load of up to 18 kg, it’s best suited for weekend trips, section hikes, or longer journeys with regular resupply points.
Total weight of the Junction 40L starts at approximately 817 grams (small, white), depending on the torso size and hip belt configuration. It is available in multiple sizes to ensure an optimal fit for different body types.

- Hip belt pockets made from Dyneema® Hardline include reliable #5 YKK zippers for secure and easy access to small items.
- Two removable, contoured aluminum stays enhance support and help distribute weight evenly; they can be taken out to reduce overall pack weight.
- All vertical seams and sewn-on features are sealed with seam tape to improve water resistance and keep your gear dry.
- A 19 mm sternum strap slides along daisy chains for easy adjustment and a customized fit.
- Redesigned shoulder straps follow the natural curve around the neck and include additional bartacks for more sternum strap positioning options.
- The Dyneema® Woven Composite 3.9 fabric offers high abrasion resistance, reduced weight, less crinkling in cold conditions, and a smoother, more comfortable feel.
- Removable side compression straps let you tailor the external carry setup; opposing buckles allow central gear attachment, and daisy chains on the outer pocket provide more mounting options.
- A simplified hydration system includes a mesh sleeve, bladder hang loop, and a repositioned hydroport for better access while on the move.
