Want to start food plotting but don’t have heavy equipment to work the soil?

Or maybe you have a backwoods plot only accessible by foot. If only you could plant something without needing heavy equipment to work the soil...

Good news friend, this is the mix for you!

A specially selected blend of cereal grains, brassicas, clover, and chicory that can thrive in small shady plots with minimal ground prep. Just remove any leaves or ground cover to expose the soil and broadcast, preferably before a rain. Let our seed do the rest.

Designed to do well with minimal ground prep and provide an extremely attractive plot deer will hit day after day. This mix excels in small no till plots.

There’s nothing stopping you now, get this seed planted and start picking out a tree to hang your stand!

Ingredients:

2 Clovers

Cereal grains

Radish

Chicory

How we formulated this mix:

All the ingredients in this mix share 2 things: Shade tolerance and the ability to succeed with a shallow planting depth which gives them a high rate of success with no-till plantings. Clovers selected for this mix are extremely vigorous growers in less-than-ideal planting situations.

WHERE TO PLANT: Areas with full sun to partial shade. Ideal for small plots hard to access with equipment

pH: 5.5-7.0

MINIMUM SOIL FERTILITY NEEDED: Moderate - Low

WHEN TO PLANT:

NORTH: March-June or Aug-Sep

CENTRAL: Mar-May or Aug-Oct

SOUTH: Sep-Early Nov

SOIL PREP:  Great option for no-till planting. Expose/scarify the dirt as much as possible and remove debris. Broadcast into bare dirt. Culti-pack or run over if possible. It can also be planted by normal means (disc/plow/harrow/etc.)

PLANTING DEPTH: 1/4in or less

FERTILIZER: For best results use the Whitetail Hill Soil Test and apply fertilizer as recommended by the test - Order at WhitetailHill.com

Aggressive chewer who loves fetch approved!!
Size: Medium, Size: Medium
I highly recommend the Chuck-It brand in general, especially for dogs with an aggressive bite. These balls are awesome and are the most durable balls I’ve bought for my 50 lbs lab mix. He has not been able to break one of them yet and we’ve had a few of the squeaky balls for months. They are a bit pricey but worth it. The one in the pic has been used for months, lives outside and you can see it’s still in great shape.

Good quality dog ball for playing fetch
Size: Medium
My dog and family love these chuck it balls to play fetch with our dog. They are durable and fun. They squeak which is added fun for any dog! Regular tennis balls my dog chews apart and they get pretty gross after playing and being left outside. These can be easily washed off and cleaned. These balls last! Would recommend to anyone with a dog and would purchase again.

Perfect toy for an active dog!
Color: Large size (7.9")
My dog absolutely loves this ball with handles! It’s quickly become one of his favorite toys, and he gets excited every time we bring it out to play. The vibrant colors are a huge plus—they make it super easy to spot in the grass, which saves a lot of time during outdoor play sessions. The handles are great for interactive play too, especially for tugging and tossing. I’m really impressed with how well it’s holding up. Even with constant pulling, tugging, and rough use, it’s remained durable and hasn’t shown any signs of wearing out. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase—and if my dog could write reviews, it would definitely get his paw stamp of approval! 🐾

Not for strong chewers!
Color: Large size (7.9")
I have an English Springer Spaniel who is 1.5 yrs. She had this torn apart within the first 5 minutes. This is not for strong chewers!
