Maranta leuconeura 'massangeana' aka the elusive Black Maranta. This prayer plant's oval leaves have a silver midvein framed by a blush of rich purple-black—all feathered by thin silver stripes stretching from the centers to the green margins.  Each leaf is unique and will show variations in coloration, including some leaves with only silver patterns.

This plant is not for the beginner and must be kept in high humidity at all times. Care:

• Bright, indirect or filtered light.
  
• Temp. 50 to 95 degrees.
• Provide with extra humidity to avoid crisping leaf edges.
  
• Mounding, creeping growth habit. Can trail from a hanging basket.
  
• Keep well drained soil evenly moist but not soggy. Take care not to overwater in Winter months.
